To John Teilhet, the practice of orthopedics just makes sense. Inspired to go into medicine by his wife, a nurse, he likes that there’s an endpoint to orthopedic problems. It’s satisfying, he says, to treat a fracture and watch it heal. When John, an East Tennessee native, sees patients, he likes to relate to them as he would a friend or family member.
